The spirit of atheism and belief in God

God's ways are not the same as our way! This truth has many meanings deeper than what we usually think. God is too difficult to describe with words. This means that God can not be understood in the mind or described in our imagination.
This truth is one of the first stake of the Church that his understanding of God and is described as a dogma at the Fourth Lateran Council in 1215 that the divinity of God is very different from the description of our knowledge. In fact, all our concepts and language about God is never enough and will not be sufficient.

God can never be known but not described or understood by our human minds. Why?Why do not we have to build a picture or talk about God with ample adequacy? This is because God is not limited while our minds are limited.
Not limited can be defined as not being blocked. It looked like something complicated but it is not understood. For example: Try to imagine the highest numbers are difficult to quantify. Immediately you will realize that it was impossible because of the number or numbers is not an end.
It is impossible to imagine the highest figures. Similarly, in cases when we try to understand God and how we try to imagine the presence of God. God is unlimited and unrestricted nature of this that can not be understood or imagined by the human mind is limited.
This is not to protect some of the theories, but crucial to understanding our faith. We tend to associate with a faith that is weak weak weak imagination, but we also tend to categorize atheism with lack upayaan to imagine the presence of God.

For example, imagine two different situations in your life: First, imagine you have justhad a beautiful religious experience. You have faith in prayer, or experience that makesa picture and your feelings toward God in the real world is very strong.

For example, imagine two different situations in your life: First, imagine you have just had a beautiful religious experience. You have prayer or the faith that makes gambara experience and your feelings toward God in the real world is very strong.

At that time, you are assured of the presence of God and no doubt will leave him. You feel that your faith is strong so you can walk on water! Then imagine you are in a situation different: you're lying in bed, unable to sleep with a quiet, nervous, sensing a variety of problems surround you, ponder the questions that can not be answered, not to imply the presence of God and not to feel the faith you at that time.

Despite your best efforts you still can not but feel that God is present until you feel that you are an atheist. Does this mean that the first example above describes you had faith strong while the second example is to imagine your faith weak? No. Actually, what happened here is your imagination of God is stronger in the first instance, while in the second example, your imagination is so weak. Faith in God should not be confused because we are powerless to imagine the presence of God.

Unlimited nature of God can not be described by the imagination. God can be known but can not be described. We can learn about God, but not to describe him. Nicholas Lash, in a great plan of God,
describes that atheists are often rejected worship that makes God as god goddess inour thinking.

According to him, we do not have to do many things, but note that most of our generation "clear" the spirit of the atheist is not impossible but spread intellectual and ethical, and many things that can be taken into account. This may not be reasonable if only because an atheist does not believe in the existence of "a person without a body" that "remain free, able to do anything, know everything" and "specific object of human worship and obedience, the creator and supporter of the world." But , if "God" that we define as mysterious as gazetted in Christ, a blow to the peace of all things, all things connected with God in each movement and the nature of them, whether they realize it or understand it or not.

If atheism is defined as an action to reject all things related to God, it is self-denying one treatment and if this continues then it destroys itself. Famous words of Thomas Aquinas had explained that God is very clear and distinct, even if we did not understand. A friend of my Oblate give a brief statement that "God as I understand about him, not properly understood." This is the truth that should be held and contemplated by us, not the extent of describing God.

When the prophet Isaiah, looking at the oracle of God, he could only speak as people who stutter, "Holy, holy, holy! Holiness  Almighty God! "We often misinterpretation would the word" holy "in which it was regarded as a moral reality that is a very noble character. But actually, the word actually meant by Isaiah refers to the highest tribute to a sense of mystique that refers to the glory of God, the oneness of God, God is much different than we are, God is not limited. The true meaning of this word is Isaiah, God Almighty is very different and special, and certainly God is not limited.

Accepting God as "unlimited" and acknowledge the fact that the thought and idea of God is not sufficient, to help us in two ways: We stopped our faith relate to the imagination and more importantly, we stop creating God in our self image and likeness.
